According to an April 2008 Law Librarian Blog post, Georgia State is being sued by 3 publishers for copyright infringement.  Allegedly, Georgia State was placing large amounts of copyrighted material into electronic coursepacks and did not seek the publishers’ permission.  Recently, Georgia State responded to the lawsuit asserting that the material falls under the Fair Use Guidelines and thus they were not obligated to obtain permission from the publishers.
