At 6pm, the Dean Alexander Moot Courtroom will be broadcasting Judge Sotomayor’s appointment to the Supreme Court.  Here is the agenda, compliments of Susan Feathers:

6p.m.,Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman will begin the program giving greetings and remarks. Judge Lippman will then introduce Chief Judge Dennis Jacobs (US 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals).

Chief Judge Dennis Jacobs (US 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals) will give remarks.
·         Judge Lippman will then introduce Governor Paterson.

·         Governor Paterson will give remarks, and then introduce Justice Sotomayor.

·         Governor Paterson  will then make a special presentation.

·         Justice Sotomayor will give remarks.

Governor David Paterson is hosting the celebration of Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s recent appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court as the first Hispanic and third woman to serve on the nation’s highest court.

While the event is taking place in New York City, the governor’s office has selected Albany Law School as the sole Capital Region location to host a viewing party with a live webcast of the event. Similar viewing parties will be simultaneously taking place at law schools and other locations across the state.
